Charlie Phillips
Charlie Phillips has been living in Queenstown since 1994 and is currently Chief Executive of QRC where he has been since the birth of his 3rd daughter in 2007.
Prior to QRC, Charlie helped establish what is now known as Europcar where he held the position of General Manager, Europcar New Zealand for 7 years. After having achieved his personal objective of getting Europcar onto all major New Zealand Airports and wanting another industry under his belt - the opportunity to be part of an initiative such as QRC was an excellent fit.
With QRC now an established entity, Charlie is looking forward to increasing the profile of education within the region and in doing so making it a true market segment for the local economy.
Having a young family, Charlie see’s the importance of being part of the community, and as a result is Deputy Chairman of the Kelvin Peninsula Community Association.
