Anthony King
Anthony King is a store manager/shareholder of Wakatipu New World in Remarkables Park. The supermarket business covers a number of retail sectors, giving Anthony an understanding of how different factors in the economy and business environment affect different areas of retail.
Previously Anthony worked in taxation consulting and financial analysis with Ward Wilson Accountants, (now WHK Group). Anthony also has many years of experience working as a tax consultant and manager at KPMG, both in Auckland and the UK. While in the UK Anthony worked in the international financial sector, together with a focus in New Zealand on property, finance, hotels and a variety of commercial areas. Through his role at Ward Wilson, Anthony has advised on, or been involved in many of the important industries in Queenstown and has gained a good knowledge of the issues that all the different businesses face operating in the Wakatipu.
Anthony has a Bcom/LLB, has been a qualified Chartered Accountant since 2005 and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 1999. Anthony has an interest in most sports in the district, especially skiing, mountain biking and golf.
