Anna has extensive commercial, marketing and stakeholder relationship experience gained as an executive leader in both small and large businesses in New Zealand.
A small business owner herself, Anna has interest in a publishing company that provides news and education to the primary health care community in New Zealand. Her on-going interest in this company gives her first-hand knowledge of the benefits and challenges of business ownership currently.
Prior to owning The Health Media, Anna worked as general manager of ProPharma (a division of the EBOS Group) leading a team providing highly customer-intimate services (wholesale medicine supply, business support, brokerage and marketing) to the $1 billion dollar community pharmacy market nationally.
Anna trained as a nurse in the 1980s. She set up her first business in the early 1990s, and has also worked developing and selling medicine data and decision support tools to health businesses and hospitals across Australia and New Zealand and sat on a global drug database development team. She topped up her on-the-job business education with an MBA from AUT University, graduating in 2013.
