Dear Member,

I am pleased to announce a new appointment to the small, but perfectly formed, Chamber executive.

Fiona Reeve is coming on board as our events and member relationship manager, covering the maternity leave position of Catherine Fallon over a 12-month period.

Fiona is a very experienced events and sponsor partnership manager.  Prior to the birth of her second child, Fiona was the sponsorship manager for the award-winning Wellington Culinary Events Trust (Visa Wellington on a Plate, Beervana and Highball) for two years. For the 10 years prior Fiona worked for Paramount Pictures Australia in a range of promotions and sponsorship roles.  Fiona has a Bachelor of Communications from AUT University.  

Fiona and husband Damien have recently moved to Arrowtown, to join Fiona's parents, with Damien joining the growing pool of remote workers in the region.

Rebecca Viale is returning to the Chamber from maternity leave, to her office manager position, however she will be sharing member relationship management duties with Fiona.

Rebecca hails from the UK where she received two tertiary qualifications - a BA (Hons) from Birmingham University and a master’s degree in business management from Northumbria University. After moving here in 2009 and jumping through all the required immigration hoops, she is proud to now be a New Zealand citizen. Her local background working for QLDC, a private real estate developer and a number of small businesses stand her in good stead to appreciate and navigate diverse business landscapes.  In addition, the local small business she co-owns with her husband Mauro, has given her first-hand experience of business ownership.

The team will be saying farewell in August to Suye Chan, who has done a fantastic job covering Rebecca's office manager role. Suye will be focusing on her business management postgraduate degree while seeking the next adventure and we wish her the very best.

The whole Chamber team are very happy for Catherine Fallon who is due to have her second child next month.

We are looking forward to catching up with you all, in person at our next Business after 5 (back to business party) on the 1st July at Eichardt’s Grill. Event and registration details will be circulated soon.
