Dear Member

If you have been hearing Aussie accents on the street lately chances are it is more likely Aussie media here on the pre-text of "working" with the summit between our respective Prime Ministers well and truly putting us front and centre for our friends across the ditch.

It's now less than two weeks away for our first opening weekend of the ski season and we are looking forward to hosting the Welcome to Winter Skyline Business Lunch on Friday 2 July.  Thank you to all those who came along to lunch with Caroline Rainsford, Country Head for Google, coffee with Minister Stuart Nash and lunch with the Deputy PM Grant Robertson.

After a not so miserable May, we are looking forward to the Westpac Women's Conference this Friday, the BA5 at the Pig & Whistle next week (where many of you will be flexing your Quiz night muscles!) and hearing from Rod Drury on the exciting things he is up to and his Queenstown vision later in the month.  More details on this below.

We are continuing to lobby Government for visa changes and we remain positive that an announcement is imminent.

It's also that time of year again where many of you will be receiving your membership renewals.  As a membership based organisation, we work hard to ensure your voice is represented locally and nationally and you can access opportunities to network, learn from each other and also learn a few things yourself.

We are always interested to hear what we could do better or differently, so please get in touch.

We have also had a few changes with Angela Spackman taking over as Chair of the Chamber Board, with Craig Douglas stepping down to focus on his newly acquired business and Scott Donaldson taking the role of Deputy Chair.  We are looking forward to working more closely with Angela and Scott and thank Craig for his immense support and contribution.

We have also farewelled our amazing Rebecca Viale, our Office Manager who has moved on to pursue her aspiration of becoming a Financial Advisor.  We are sad to see her go but excited for her new opportunity.  We are recruiting for someone new for the team now.

The ever fabulous Catherine Fallon is back on board (just a little bit before she returns properly next month) and our wonderful Fiona Reeve (who was covering Catherine) will also be staying with us and moving into Membership & Development from next month.

Take care
