The Opportunity

We currently have a great opportunity for an experienced, mid-level, relationship manager to work with us making Queenstown a vibrant place to work and live. 

The Queenstown Chamber of Commerce represents over 600 businesses that are working to meet, and enjoy, the challenges of growth, as well as caring for their staff and the environment. 

Our perfect person will share our vision for a vibrant business community, working proactively with our members, board and staff to adapt responsibly to a fast-changing Queenstown. They will be a co-host for member forums that encourage lively debate, conversation and education on topical issues, as well as connecting our members on a one-to-one basis.

Your responsibilities will be: 

  • Membership retention and engagement – ensuring members are aware of and use services available to them

  • Member attraction – identifying and recruiting new members

  • Hosting membership events and activities

About You

To be successful in this role you will be an outgoing, confident person who is able to build a rapport with a variety of different stakeholders. A good understanding of the Queenstown business community or proven experience of customer/member community building is desirable.

Ideally you will have the following skillset:

  • Strong customer/member management and communication experience

  • Experience providing clear, concise reports on customer/member interactions and results in a CRM or equivalent

  • Ability to use a range of common Microsoft Office tools, including Office 365.

 You will be able to:

  • Work independently, with clear goals and outcome measures as your guide

  • Work as part of a small team, with flexible role boundaries and work hours

  • Get out and about with members – including occasionally - in the evening


The role is part-time – between 20 and 30 hours per week. It is preferable that at least four days per week are worked.

The role is based in Downtown Queenstown, however it is possible to work from home, for some periods if mutually convenient.
