The overarching purpose of the workshop is to help solve possible issues when employing people from other cultures.
The workshop will cover:
How employers can ensure a high standard of communication and productivity from all employees.
Issues that you could be facing when employing people from other cultures: immigration policy; retention; effective communication within staffing and with customers or clients.
Available training and resources for employers to help with communication in the workplace to ensure productivity remains high: speaking clearly; ensuring communication is open and honest – especially if English is not the first language spoken.
Miriam has over twenty five years’ experience teaching and training in speech and effective communication to a diverse range of clients including sales people, corporate CEOs, bankers, business owners, teachers and children.
She creates customised training programmes for individuals at all levels - from novice to experienced public speakers, speakers for whom English is a second language, children and young people.
Miriam has a Bachelor of Education from University of Otago, a Diploma in Teaching from Dunedin College of Education and an ATCL diploma in practical speech and drama from Trinity College, London.
