WOMEN IN BUSINESS LUNCH WITH JACKIE VAN BEEK
Queenstown Performing Arts Centre Trust and Queenstown Chamber are delighted to bring guest speaker Jackie van Beek to Queenstown for our first Women in Business Lunch of the year.
New Zealand actor, writer and director Jackie van Beek will talk about - "Practicing Spontaneity". A discussion about the benefits of staying present and being in the moment. As a young girl Jackie used to alphabetise her clothes, now she's most often employed for her skills in improvisation. Jackie will chat about how she learnt to strike a better balance between control and not-knowing.
The Queenstown Performing Arts Centre Trust was formed in 2000 with the goal to create a community centre for the performing arts in Central Queenstown. They are located in the last remaining building of the original Wakatipu High School, which they renovated into four purpose fitted studios with the intent to allow residents to develop and master their craft in the performing arts. They are home to 36 members who are active year round. Their groups include martial arts, circus arts, contemporary dance, ballet, salsa, tango, belly-dancing, singing, acting, instrumental music, and theatrical productions.
